Be Curious and Discover
The optional exchange program is open to Full-time MBA students. It offers the wonderful opportunity to gain international exposure and maximize your experience at HKUST.
Full-time MBA students enrolled in the 16-month MBA program have the option to apply to study for one full term at one of our partner schools located in various countries, either physically or virtually, depending upon availability.
Here are some of the global programs on the exchange list:

Mia Cheng, Class of 2022
'I spent the Fall 2021 semester at Yale SOM, where I followed my interests by enrolling in advanced courses in social entrepreneurship and medical business. This international experience expanded my global network and enriched my understanding of global markets, which is a great addition to the Asia business perspectives that I learnt from HKUST.'
WELCOME EXCHANGE-IN PEERS
Even if you decide to remain in Hong Kong throughout your study, you can still be a great host for our exchange-in students from all over the world.
HKUST also hosts exchange students from these top business schools. They will be joining you in your elective courses, so whether you study abroad or not, you will be able to discover more from different cultures during your program.

The exchange program promotes cultural and international exposure; therefore, some of our partner universities do not allow visiting students to return to their home country during the exchange program. Partner universities reserve the right to defer to the government and to public health authorities regarding the exchange program. Should the need arise, a remote, virtual exchange program may be offered. All exchange program offerings and arrangements (virtual or physical classes) are subject to change and availability.
