The Curriculum

Earn 45 credits through rigorous core courses, extensive and exciting electives, and career-focused training programs.

Accelerators and Immersion Program

The program begins with accelerators in July 2026, building your foundation in essential business skills including accounting, data analysis, and Python programming. This is followed by a mandatory 2-credit Immersion Week in early August 2026, which includes in-person orientation activities.

How you will study

The Part-Time MBA program at HKUST offers two flexible scheduling options, allowing you to choose between weekly or biweekly classes to best fit your professional commitments.

Program Commencement for Intake 2026

Given the diverse backgrounds of our MBA students, the MBA accelerators are designed to provide a common knowledge foundation for all students before embarking on their studies. These classes will be scheduled online during weekends or weekday evenings in the Hong Kong time zone in July 2026. Students are required to attend the live classes online. 

To ensure a comprehensive and engaging start for new students, the MBA Immersion Program is a mandatory 2-credit course that will take place in person at the HKUST Clear Water Bay Campus. This program offers an immersive experience that introduces students to the MBA journey while fostering opportunities for networking and teamwork. For the Part-Time Weekly/ Bi-Weekly MBA intake 2026, the tentative schedule are below: 

  • Part-Time (Weekly): August 8-11, 2026 (Sat-Tue)  
  • Part-Time (Bi-Weekly): August 13-16, 2026 (Thu-Sun)

Students should reserve their schedule in advance, and full engagement and participation are required throughout the above period, which includes orientation sessions, classes, workshops, team collaborations, and networking activities. Accommodation will be provided by the MBA Program during the immersion period.
