How you will study

The Full-Time MBA program at HKUST offers multiple study options.

 

At HKUST, your MBA experience is tailored to your ambitions. Options for the 16-month mode if you want to immerse yourself in new career possibilities and have an option to study in a global exchange semester or select the 12-month mode for a fast-paced, focused journey towards your next career milestone. No matter your path, you’ll benefit from the same world-class curriculum, dynamic professional network - empowering you to invest fully in your personal and professional growth.

 

 

The 16-month mode includes time for a summer internship and can be tailored to your career goals. Study exclusively in HKUST to access world-class electives and prioritize a career pivot to Hong Kong, including ample time for networking with alumni, industry leaders and completing part-time internships.

Or pursue an exchange semester at one of our leading global partner universities. Use this time to expand your global outlook and pursue career opportunities around the world.

The 12-month mode suits company-sponsored students, family business leaders and those continuing in their current field. It also aligns perfectly with Yale's Master of Advanced Management (MAM) program for enhanced global perspectives.

Program Commencement for Intake 2026

Given the diverse backgrounds of our MBA students, the MBA accelerators are designed to provide a common knowledge foundation for all students before embarking on their studies. These classes will be scheduled online during weekends or weekday evenings in the Hong Kong time zone in July 2026. Students are required to attend the live classes online. 

To ensure a comprehensive and engaging start for new students, the MBA Immersion Program is a mandatory 2-credit course that will take place in person at the HKUST Clear Water Bay Campus. This program offers an immersive experience that introduces students to the MBA journey while fostering opportunities for networking and teamwork. For the full-time MBA intake 2026, students are required to join the immersion program in early August 2026. Full engagement and participation are required throughout the immersion, which includes orientation sessions, classes, workshops, team collaborations, and networking activities.
