From Jakarta to Hong Kong, 𝐄𝐝𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 (𝐇𝐊𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐁𝐀 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓)’s journey is a story of adaptability and clarity. Growing up in Indonesia and moving to Singapore as a teenager taught him independence early on. Adjusting to new cultures and languages became second nature, shaping a mindset that thrives in change.

Years in Sydney added another dimension, offering a Western perspective that sharpened Edo’s ability to collaborate and broadened his global outlook. His consulting background, combined with secondments to different companies, pushed this even further. Each client presented unique challenges and distinct working styles, requiring quick decisions and a flexible approach. These experiences did more than build technical skills—they cultivated resilience and a truly global perspective.

So why Hong Kong? For Edo, the answer is clear. Hong Kong stands as Asia’s financial epicentre, a bridge between East and West, and a hub where capital markets thrive. It is a city that moves fast, and HKUST matches that pace. With program flexibility, specialized finance electives, and a powerful alumni network, the MBA offers the tools to pivot and grow.
