HKUST’s alumni referral scheme attracts bright minds from diverse backgrounds. Those either with HKUST MBA or EMBA alumni acting as a referee or who are alumni of HKUST degree programs themselves will be eligible for the scheme (excluding short-term courses).
Remarks
Students residing in jurisdictions other than Hong Kong may, subject to the laws and requirements of the respective jurisdictions, be subject to taxes or levies by reason of their enrolment to the program and/or receiving of education service from the University. In such circumstances, if the University is required by any laws or competent authority of any jurisdiction to collect tax or levies from students, students will be required to pay those taxes in addition to the tuition fees.
Students whose residence country and/or correspondence addresses is/are in Singapore may be required to pay Goods & Services Tax (GST) as levied by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). If the University is required by the IRAS to collect GST from students, students will be required to pay to the University a sum equivalent to the GST to be charged by IRAS in addition to the standard tuition fee payable to the University. As of 1 January 2024, the rate of GST is 9%, and is subject to further adjustment by the IRAS from time to time.
