Requirements

Applicants for the Digital MBA for Global Leaders program (DiMBA) are required to fulfill the following admissions requirements.

⬡ A bachelor's degree;

⬡ A minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience after graduating from your first degree;

⬡ A satisfactory GMAT/GRE score (applicants with more than 7 years of full-time work experience are eligible to apply for a GMAT waiver subject to approval); and

⬡ A Good TOEFL/IELTS academic results if English was not the first language of instruction of your undergraduate/postgraduate course

        We follow the minimum TOEFL/IELTS score requirements set out by the university as follows:
        ⬡ TOEFL-iBT: 80# 
        ⬡ TOEFL-pBT: 550
        ⬡ TOEFL-Revised paper-delivered test: 60 (total scores for Reading, Listening and Writing sections)
        ⬡ IELTS (Academic Module): Overall score: 6.5 and All sub-score: 5.5
            #refers to the total score in one single attempt

Special COVID-19 Arrangements

HKUST MBA accepts scores from the online version of GMAT/ GRE, IELTS Indicator, TOEFL-iBT Special Home Edition examinations, and Duolingo English Test (where available) for the 2022-23 admissions.

Application Checklist

Here is a list of what you need to prepare during different stages of your application.

1. Submit Your Application

⬡ A non-refundable application fee of HK$1,000 (approximately US$130) via credit card 

2. After Passing the Interview

⬡ Two short essays (optional)
⬡ Academic transcripts
⬡ GMAT/GRE score report (if applicable)
⬡ TOEFL/IELTS score report (if applicable)
⬡ Online work reference forms (must be completed online by your referees)
⬡ Salary proof
⬡ Proof of employment  

The work reference forms must be completed online by your referees. Scanned copies of your academic transcripts, GMAT/GRE score report, TOEFL/IELTS score reports, proof of employment and salary letters will be sufficient during the application stage.
